CHULA VISTA HOST LIONS CLUB
Once again, the CV Host Lions club sponsored the annual Blind Community Center Holiday Party. This event is widely anticipated each year and for 2017, it did not disappoint. Special thanks to all CV Host club members, who made that fabulous party happen. We recognize the hard work, time and dollar investment made by the club for the party and we cannot thank you enough!
| The Chula Vista Host Lions Club sponsored our Holiday party again this year. Oh, what fun we had. Over 100 people were entertained by Chula Vista High School’s, Main Attraction. The girls wore sparkling royal blue, knee length, full skirted dresses. The boys wore suits and all of the students were well groomed, fresh faced and energetic. Their songs filled the room and everyone was captivated. They sang Holiday songs and a rousing rendition of military hymns. Military veterans were invited to stand as the hymn of each of their branches of the service was sung.
The meal included a fruit plate, a green salad, roast beef, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, and a roll. Dessert was apple cake with cream cheese frosting. Delicious! Lion volunteers made sure everyone had beverages, delivered our food and whisked away empty plates. There were raffles and lots of winners. Santa attended and gave everyone a candy cane. As always the Lions made sure the party ran smoothly and that everyone had a good time. |
