| To start our Thanksgiving Day, the BCC was proud to present a special guest this year who told us about the life of Nellie Bly, the first woman investigative journalist. Mission Lion Marilyn Kneeland became the young Nelly and told her story in autobiographical form. While listening to Marilyn, we could see Nelly Bly standing before us telling her intriguing, exciting story. We hope to have Marilyn back to tell us another story about a different interesting person. All were enthralled by Marilyn’s performance. Our Thanksgiving meal included four delicious turkeys and all the traditional side dishes, which were gobbled up by over 80 members, guests and volunteers. When all of the pumpkin pie and whipped cream was gone, everyone left with a full stomach and a smile.
