MAJOR DONORS IN OCTOBER

Southwest Lions of San Diego
As a result of your generous donation, over 600 nutritious, lunchtime meals were provided to hungry blind and low vision seniors at the BCC in October.  Thank you.Chula Vista Host Lions

  • Thank you Madeline Hooper for your assistance with QuickBooks.  We appreciate your skills and willingness to help out.
  • Thank you also to Al Hooper for driving our shuttle to Rancho Bernardo Lion’s World Service Day.  Without our drivers, our vehicles are useless and our members would not have transportation to and from events.  Thank you, Al.
  • Thank you to Odena Dillard, Jeanie McClanahan and Mary Lou Santo Tomas for volunteering in our craft classes three days a week, forever! If these three CV Host Lions are not at the BCC volunteering, then, it must be a Holiday and we are closed.
  • Thank you to Gary Dillard for quickly coming to the BCC’s aid when vandals wrote graffiti all around our building.  Gary removed the paint from all of our windows before we could say, “Hey Gary….”

Ranch Bernardo Lions World Service Day
Once again, Rancho Bernardo Lions celebrated World Service Day by inviting blind and low vision community members from all over San Diego to a lip-smacking, delicious, chicken pot pie luncheon. Many of our members commented afterwards about the wonderful live guitar playing entertainment.  Our members look forward to this event all year long.  Thank you so much for your generosity and thoughtfulness. It was a fun day for all.

North Park Lions
Thank you for your financial support and the loan of your Corn Hole games. We are having fun and we appreciate you every day.

National Charity League
Thank you for the spooky, Halloween Party.  The games were hideously creepy and the food was disturbing and unsettling.  Just what a scary Halloween party called for!  Thank you for your extraordinary efforts!

University of San Diego Engineering Students
USD Engineering students are volunteering at the BCC.  Thank you for your time and energy.  Students are helping with arts and crafts, our lunch program and special events. The students are cheerfully interacting with BCC participants and we look forward to seeing them every day.
