Thanks to the Knights of Columbus Council #3947, the Blind Community Center has a new dishwasher. BCCSD member Michael Aicinena is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3947 and he mentioned the BCCSD’s needs to his organization. The BCCSD has been transitioning to Corelle dishes, ceramic coffee mugs and stainless-steel cutlery for our lunch program. High water temperatures in our new dishwasher will leave dishes sanitized and we can be more energy and water efficient. The BCCSD will also help save the environment by cutting down on disposable paper and plastic. Thank you, Knights of Columbus Council #3947! Photos of Michael and the new dishwasher.
