2019 VOLUNTEER LUNCHEON

The BCCSD thanked devoted volunteers by holding a Volunteer Luncheon in their honor. The BCCSD could not do what it does without our wonderful volunteers. Today’s Volunteers are walking in the footsteps of others who have gone before. The BCCSD has a long history of dedicated volunteers who have kept the organization going since 1949.

Volunteers at the BCCSD serve on our board of directors, they teach and assist with crafts classes and ceramics. They cook and clean and answer the phones at the front desk. Volunteers teach martial arts, writing, music, microwave cooking, cribbage and blind rhythm. They manage our web page, our network, our newsletter, our administration, our QuickBooks and our maintenance. BCCSD volunteers help us with monthly Bingo, annual pancake breakfasts, the annual spaghetti dinner, Halloween, Thanksgiving dinner, December Nights and our Christmas party and so much more. Our remarkable Volunteers pitch in where ever they are needed.

C3 Risk and Insurance Services sponsored our event with delicious shish kabobs, Greek salad and rice from Luna Grill and we all enjoyed a scrumptious chocolate cake. At the Luncheon Christie was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Board of Directors, Members and Participants for her many hours of volunteering and assisting in getting the BCCSD on a firm foundation. Congratulations Christie, award well deserved.
We are building a volunteer remembrance wall. The next time you visit the BCCSD, check out our never-to-be-forgotten Volunteers.
