CELEBRATING 68 YEARS!
Blind Community Center Mission: To enrich the lives of blind and visually impaired adults, preparing them for a normal, active life in a society that is principally sighted by encouraging independence.
Do you or someone you know, have low vision?
Low vision is the term used to describe reduced eyesight, either blurred vision or an incomplete field of view that cannot be fully corrected with eyeglasses, contact lenses or surgery.
Reasons for low vision may include: Macular degeneration, Glaucoma, Cataracts, Diabetic Retinopathy
The BCC gives blind and visually disabled people in our community a place to go every day. Our participants are able to socialize with their peers, make crafts, play games and have lunch. Social activities help people stay healthy and motivated to live a better life. BCC participants look forward to all of our parties and special events.
At the BCC, you can enjoy our weekday lunch program, arts and crafts, self-defense classes, creative activities such as board game days, bingo, and book club. We have year round Holiday parties and festivities including our annual pancake breakfast and spaghetti dinner fundraisers.
The Blind Community Center of San Diego is a 501c3 organization and receives no government funding. We exist solely on contributions from generous organizations and individuals like you.
