The December Nights event in Balboa Park brought 300,000 people to Balboa Park and the BCCSD had an opportunity to sell our crafts to everyone who walked by our booth. Items for sale included hats, scarves, beaded lamps, angels, quilts, crocheted items like slippers and handwarmers, Holiday wreaths, and Candy Cane Mice.
Santa, Lion Garry Jones offered a photo op with Santa for a donation. Volunteers included a Harbison Canyon Lion, Spring Valley Lions, a North Park Lion, SDSU students, our BCCSD craft class teacher, Julie Jones and BCCSD volunteers and members. The fundraiser was very successful and our crafters outdid themselves with an abundance of lighted, beaded, pink elephants, penguins, teddy bears, Santas, Christmas trees, snowmen, and Mary Lou angels.
Our regular customers are looking for a new lighted beaded lamp to buy. The consensus is a lion, a leprechaun and more Christmas trees for the 2020 event. Thank you to Crafters, Assistants, Sales Team, Set Up and Take Down Team, and of course, BUYERS!
