CV Host Lions – Volunteers Support the BCC.

Jeanie McClanahan covers our reception desk 3 days a week, helps with craft classes, donates to BCC programs, drives participants to water skiing and surfing events and helps wherever she is needed. Jeanie is our BCC birthday cake baker. She makes 4 birthday cakes every month for our lunch program. Jeanie’s husband, RD, has helped cook for the lunch program, helped the BCC with maintenance issues and helped with our new ceramics class. Thank you, Jeanie and RD, you are appreciated by everyone at the BCC.

Odena and Gary Dillard are long time volunteers at the BCC. Odena has been a volunteer in the craft class for over 30 years. She has helped BCC students complete thousands of beaded angels, Santas, snowmen and many other beaded items. Odena has supported the ceramics program December Nights projects, fundraising efforts and all things BCC, too numerous to mention here. When Gary Dillard hears of a problem at the BCC that he might be able to help with, he quietly just shows up, fixes the problem and then leaves as quietly as he arrived. Our heartfelt thanks to Odena and Gary for everything they do for the BCC, past and present!

Mary Lou Santo Tomas who turned 100 in June, has been volunteering at the BCC for 45 years. She is our Angel Lady. Mary Lou recently fell and broke her pelvis. She is recuperating at home and is in good spirits. Thankyou Mary Lou, for your happy attitude and angel hands. If you would like to send a card to Mary Lou, please send it to the BCC; we will make sure she gets it. We wish Mary Lou a speedy recovery
