Closes Doors until Further Notice for Health and Safety

Effective Friday, March 13, 2020, the Blind Community Center of San Diego has closed its doors and suspended on-site services until further notice, to minimize the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of all members of our community. Please refer to Newsletter and Blog for more information.

Because many members and participants at the Blind Community Center fall into the category of high-risk groups, our board of directors made this decision to protect everyone who comes to the center.

All activities at the BCC, until April 13th have been cancelled. The Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, the cribbage tournament, and the pool party have been postponed until further notice.

As time passes, we will reevaluate the situation and keep everyone informed with updated information via newsletter, website and email.

During the closure, we encourage members to keep in touch with each other remotely (phone, email, texting) to maintain our sense of community.

Please follow public health guidelines and stay safe.

Thank you to all of our supporters, members and participants. We are not alone with our struggles; we are together in these uncertain times.
