Active BCCSD participants hiked 2.6 miles through Father Junipero Serra Trail in Mission Trails Regional Park. We were joined by Mission Trails park guide, Linda Hassakis. She prepared a very hands-on presentation for our group. Linda located specific bushes that you can identify by smell to share with the group. She also shared molds of coyote and mountain lion footprints and other tactile objects. Particpants on the hike shared a picnic lunch halfway through, and then walked back to Mission Trails Visitor’s Center. For some of the people who joined us, this was the first time in years they got out to enjoy nature.
